Charades: Infinity
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 August 2026
The advertising section applies to versions of the app that display ads, from version 2.0 onwards.
1. Who we are
Charades: Infinity is developed by jozimar-ltda. If you have questions about this policy or about your data, contact us at jozimarjo@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
The app collects only the data strictly necessary to run and to diagnose technical problems.
2.1 Diagnostic data (Sentry)
We use Sentry to monitor app errors and crashes. When an error occurs, we may automatically collect:
- A technical record of the error (stack trace) and the state of the screen at the moment of the failure.
- Device information (model, operating system version) and the app version.
This data is used exclusively to identify and fix technical problems. It is not linked to your personal identity.
2.2 Purchase data (RevenueCat)
If you make a purchase inside the app (for example, removing ads), we use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat processes:
- An anonymous user identifier generated by the app.
- Purchase history and subscription status, in order to unlock the content you bought.
Payment processing itself is handled by Google Play (we have no access to your card or payment method details).
2.3 Data stored only on your device
Game preferences, current match progress and settings are saved locally on your device and are not sent to our servers.
3. App permissions
3.1 Game functionality
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO):this permission is requested by the audio library used to play the game's sound effects (for example, the "time's up" alarm). The app does not record, access or transmit microphone audio — the permission exists only as part of the internal workings of the sound playback library.
- Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): used to keep the timer and the sound alarm working correctly during a match.
- Keep screen on (WAKE_LOCK) and vibration (VIBRATE): prevent the screen from turning off while someone is acting or drawing, and provide haptic feedback on buttons.
3.2 Advertising and connectivity
The permissions below are required by the advertising system described in section 4:
- Advertising identifier (AD_ID): allows ads to be shown and their performance measured. See section 4 for how to reset or disable this identifier.
- Internet and network state access (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE): needed to download ads. The game itself works offline.
- Storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): used by ad networks to cache already-downloaded ad files.
- Screen overlay (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): used by some ad networks to display full-screen ads.
- Android privacy APIs (ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION) and RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: used by ad networks for attribution and measurement within Android's own privacy model.
4. Advertising
The app displays ads (banners at the bottom of the screen and full-screen ads between matches) in order to stay free. Delivery is mediated by the mediation platform Appodeal, which works with several partner ad networks.
4.1 Data collected for ads
To select and measure ads, Appodeal and its partner networks may collect:
- Your device's advertising identifier(Advertising ID), which you can reset.
- IP address and technical device information.
- Usage statistics related to ads, such as how many times an ad was shown and whether it was clicked.
The app does not request location permission, so we do not provide your precise location (GPS) to ad networks.
This data is handled by Appodeal under the Appodeal Privacy Policy, which also lists the partner networks involved.
4.2 Your choices
- Reset or delete the advertising identifier: on Android, go to Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path may vary by manufacturer). There you can reset the identifier or turn off ad personalisation.
- Remove ads: the app offers a one-time purchase that disables ad display.
- Consent:where legislation requires it (in the European Union, for example), the app shows a consent screen before collecting data for ads. That screen is provided by Appodeal's consent manager, built on Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). To review or withdraw a choice you have already made, contact us at the email address in section 1.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We share information only with the service providers necessary to run the app:
- Sentry (error monitoring)
- RevenueCat (purchase management)
- Google Play (payment processing and app distribution)
- Appodeal and its partner ad networks (ad delivery and measurement — see section 4)
Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
6. Data retention and deletion
Diagnostic data (Sentry) is retained for the tool's standard period and then deleted automatically. To request deletion of data associated with your purchase account (RevenueCat), contact us at the email address in section 1.
Data collected for ads is retained by Appodeal and its partner networks according to each provider's policies. You can stop that data from being associated with your device by resetting your advertising identifier, as described in section 4.2.
7. Children
The app is not specifically directed at children under 13 and does not intentionally collect personal data from that audience beyond what is needed for the technical functionality described above. The ads described in section 4 are provided by third parties and are not selected based on children's data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through an app update or through this page.
